حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا السَّوَّارِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
" إِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ لَا يَأْتِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ، فَقَالَ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ: إِنَّ فِي الْحِكْمَةِ: إِنَّ مِنَ الْحَيَاءِ وَقَارًا، وَمِنَ الْحَيَاءِ ضَعْفًا ! قَالَ عِمْرَانُ: أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَتُحَدِّثُنِي عَنِ الصُّحُفِ. !

✧ "Modesty brings nothing but good." Bushayr b. Ka'b said: In wisdom it is said: Indeed, from modesty comes dignity, and from modesty comes weakness. Imran said: I narrate to you from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and you narrate to me from the scriptures!
