حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمَالِيكَ لَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

Translation

✧ A man manumitted six of his slaves during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ, so the Messenger of God ﷺ cast lots among them and freed two, while four remained enslaved.
