حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيَّ وَرَأَى رَجُلًا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنْزِعَ خُفَّيْهِ فِي الْوُضُوءِ، فَأَمَرَهُ سَلْمَانُ أَنْ يَمْسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَعِمَامَتِهِ وَشَعْرِهِ، وَقَالَ سَلْمَانُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خِمَارِهِ وَخُفَّيْهِ

✧ I saw Salman al-Farisi, and he saw a man wanting to remove his leather socks during wudu', so Salman ordered him to wipe over his leather socks, his turban, and his hair. And Salman said: I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ wipe over his head covering and his leather socks.
