✧ al-Dahhak b. 'Abd al-Rahman from Abu Musa

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، قَالَ: دَفَنْتُ ابْنِي سِنَانًا، وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ جَالِسٌ عَلَى شَفِيرِ الْقَبْرِ، فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِذَا قَبَضَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ابْنَ الْعَبْدِ قَالَ لِمَلَائِكَتِهِ: " مَا قَالَ عَبْدِي ؟ " قَالُوا: حَمِدَكَ وَاسْتَرْجَعَ، قَالَ: " ابْنُوا لَهُ بَيْتًا، وَسَمُّوهُ بَيْتَ الْحَمْدِ

✧ When Allah, Mighty and Majestic, takes the son of a servant, He says to His angels: "What did My servant say?" They say: "He praised You and said: 'Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.'" He says: "Build a house for him and call it the House of Praise."
