حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ يُقَالُ:

إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ تُتَّخَذَ الْمَسَاجِدُ طُرُقًا، وَأَنْ يُسَلِّمَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ بِالْمَعْرِفَةِ، وَأَنْ يَتَّجِرَ الرَّجُلُ وَامْرَأَتُهُ جَمِيعًا، وَأَنْ تَغْلُوَ مُهُورُ النِّسَاءِ، وَالْخَيْلُ، ثُمَّ تَرْخُصَ، فَلَا تَغْلُوَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ Among the signs of the Hour are that mosques are taken as thoroughfares, that a man greets another man only because he knows him, that a man and his wife trade together, and that the dowers of women and horses become expensive, then become cheap, and will not become expensive until the Day of Resurrection.
