حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَ
انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لِيَتَبَرَّزَ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آتِيَهُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِحَجَرَيْنِ وَرَوْثَةٍ فَأَخَذَ الْحَجَرَيْنِ وَطَرَحَ الرَّوْثَةَ وَقَالَ «هَذَا رِكْسٌ»

✧ I went out with the Prophet ﷺ so he could relieve himself. He ordered me to bring him three stones. I brought him two stones and a piece of dung. He took the two stones and discarded the dung, saying: “This is filth.”
