حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ مَوْلَى عَلِيٍّ ؓ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلِيًّا إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَعَقَدَ لَهُ لِوَاءً فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ الْحَقْهُ وَلَا تَدَعْهُ مِنْ خَلْفَهِ وَلْيَقَفْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ حَتَّى أَجِيئَهُ وَأَتَاهُ فَأَوْصَاهُ بِأَشْيَاءَ فَقَالَ «يَا عَلِيُّ لَأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللهُ عَلَى يَدِكَ رَجُلًا خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent Ali to Yemen and tied a banner for him. When he set off, he said, 'O Abu Rafi', catch up with him and do not leave him; let him stop and not turn around until I come to him.' He came to him and enjoined upon him several things, then said, 'O Ali, if Allah guides one man through your hands, it is better for you than all that the sun has risen upon.'
