حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ ثنا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا إِذَا جَلَسْنَا نَقُولُ السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى جِبْرِيلَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى مِيكَائِيلَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ فَعَلَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَلَامًا إِذَا قُلْنَاهُ سَلَّمْنَا عَلَى كُلِّ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَعَبْدٍ صَالِحٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ «التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ»

✧ We, when we sat, used to say: 'Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon Jibril, peace be upon Mika'il, peace be upon the angels.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us words which, if we say them, we greet every angel in the heaven and every righteous servant on the earth: 'All greetings, prayers, and pure words are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.'"
