حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ
عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَحَمَّادٍ وَأَبِي هَاشِمٍ وَمُغِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى اللهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى جِبْرِيلَ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ هُوَ السَّلَامُ وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

✧ From Mansur, Sulayman, Hammad, Abu Hashim, and Mughira, from Abu Wa'il, from Abdullah, who said: We used to say in the prayer: 'Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon Jibril.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us: 'Allah Himself is Peace. But say: All greetings, prayers, and pure words are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.'"
