حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقَدَّمُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ

عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَقَالَ «أُفٍّ أُفٍّ أُفٍّ» وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ غَيْرِي فَرَاعَنِي فَقُلْتُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي قَالَ «صَاحِبُ هَذِهِ الْحُفْرَةِ اسْتَعْمَلْتُهُ عَلَى بَنِي فُلَانٍ فَخَانَ بُرْدَةً فَأُرِيتُهَا عَلَيْهِ تَلْتَهَبُ»

✧ From Abu Rafi', the freed slave of the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by al-Baqi' and said, 'Uff, uff, uff,' with no one with him except me. That alarmed me, so I said, 'May my father and mother be your ransom.' He said, 'The occupant of this grave – I appointed him over Banu so-and-so, and he betrayed a cloak. I was shown it upon him, blazing.'
