حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ «يَا عَمُّ أَلَا أَصِلُكَ أَلَا أَحْبُوكَ أَلَا أَنْفَعُكَ؟» قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ تُصَلِّي يَا عَمُّ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ تَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ فَإِذَا انْقَضَتِ الْقِرَاءَةُ فَقُلِ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ مَرَّةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَرْكَعَ ثُمَّ ارْكَعْ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ رَأْسَكَ فَقُلْهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ قُمْ فَتِلْكَ خَمْسٌ وَسَبْعُونَ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ وَهِيَ ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ فِي أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَوْ كَانَتْ ذُنُوبُكَ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَقُولَهَا فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ؟ قَالَ «فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَهَا فِي يَوْمٍ فَصَلِّهَا فِي جُمُعَةٍ» حَتَّى قَالَ «صَلِّهَا فِي شَهْرٍ» حَتَّى قَالَ «صَلِّهَا فِي سَنَةٍ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to al-'Abbas: 'O uncle, shall I not maintain ties with you? Shall I not gift you? Shall I not benefit you?' He said, 'Yes, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'Pray, O uncle, four rak'ahs. In each rak'ah recite the Opening of the Book and a surah. When you finish the recitation, say: Allahu akbar, wal-hamdu lillah, wa subhan Allah, wa la ilaha illa Allah – fifteen times before you bow. Then bow and say it ten times. Then raise your head and say it ten times. Then prostrate and say it ten times. Then raise your head and say it ten times. Then prostrate and say it ten times. Then raise your head and say it ten times. Then stand up. That is seventy-five in each rak'ah and three hundred in four rak'ahs. Even if your sins were like the foam of the sea, God would forgive you.' He said, 'O Messenger of God, who can say it every day?' He said, 'If you cannot pray it in a day, then pray it in a week.' Until he said, 'Pray it in a month.' Until he said, 'Pray it in a year.'
