حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِمَّا زَادَ أَوَ نَقَصَ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَايْمُ اللهِ مَا جَاءَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا مِنْ قِبَلِي فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَحَدَثَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالَ «لَا» فَقُلْنَا لَهُ الَّذِي صَنَعَ قَالَ «إِذَا زَادَ الرَّجُلُ أَوَ نَقَصَ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ» قَالَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

✧ We prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and either he added or omitted something. Ibrahim said: 'By Allah, that came only from me.' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, has something new occurred in the prayer?' He said: 'No.' We told him what he had done. He said: 'When a man adds or omits something, he should prostrate twice.' He then prostrated twice.
