حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ
عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا كَانَ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ حَوَارِيُّونَ يَهْدُونَ بِهَدْيِهِ وَيَسْتَنُّونَ سُنَّتَهُ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خُلُوفٌ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ وَيَعْمَلُونَ مَا تُنْكِرُونَ مَنْ جَاهَدَهُمْ بِيَدِهِ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَمَنْ جَاهَدَهُمْ بِلِسَانِهِ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَمَنْ جَاهَدَهُمْ بِقَلْبِهِ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ لَيْسَ وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ»

✧ From Abu Rafiʿ, the freedman of the Messenger of God ﷺ, from ʿAbd Allah b. Masʿud, that the Prophet of God ﷺ said: “There was no prophet but he had disciples who guided by his guidance and followed his way. Then after them came successors who say what they do not do and do what you disapprove of. Whoever strives against them with his hand is a believer, whoever strives against them with his tongue is a believer, and whoever strives against them with his heart is a believer. Beyond that there is not even a mustard seed’s weight of faith.”
