حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءَ أنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ هَمْدَانَ فَقَالَ
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَشْتَرِي هَذَا الْفَرَسَ؟ فَقَالَ «مَا شَأْنُهُ؟» فَقَالَ أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ صَاحِبُهُ فَقَالَ «لَا تَشْتَرِهِ وَلَا تَسْتَقْرِضْ مِنْ مَالِهِ شَيْئًا»
