حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ
«لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ» قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَنَّى عَلِمْتَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «بِالْآيَةِ الَّتِي حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَفِظْتُهَا وَعَدَدْتُهَا وَالَّذِي أَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّهَا لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ»

✧ "The Night of Decree is the night of the twenty-seventh." I said, "O Abu al-Mundhir, how did you know that?" He said, "By the verse about which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us, so I memorized it and counted it. By the One who sent down the Book upon Muhammad, it is the night of the twenty-seventh."
