حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
«مَنْ فَاتَتْهُ الرَّكْعَةُ الْأُخْرَى فَلْيُصَلِّ أَرْبَعًا» قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا فَقِيلَ لِقَتَادَةَ إِنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ جَاءَ وَهُمْ جُلُوسٌ فِي آخِرِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «اجْلِسُوا أَدْرَكْتُمْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ» قَالَ قَتَادَةُ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُ «أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْأَجْرَ»

✧ "Whoever misses the last rakʿah should pray four." Maʿmar said: Qatādah said: He prays four. It was said to Qatādah that Ibn Masʿūd came while they were sitting at the end of the prayer, and he said to his companions: "Sit, you have caught it, if Allah wills." Qatādah said: "He only means: 'You have caught the reward.'"
