حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ
صَلَّى بِنَا ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ {نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ} رَكَعَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ

✧ Ibn Masʿūd led us in the ʿIshāʾ prayer. He began with Sūrat al-Anfāl until when he reached {How excellent a protector and how excellent a helper}, he bowed. Then in the second rakʿah he recited two sūrahs from the Mufaṣṣal.
