حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
«إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَيُطِيفُ بِالرَّجُلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لِيَقْطَعَ عَلَيْهِ صَلَاتَهُ فَإِذَا أَعْيَا نَفَخَ فِي دُبُرِهِ لِيُرِيَهُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ أَحْدَثَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَلَا يَنْصَرِفَنَّ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا»

✧ Indeed, Satan surrounds a man during prayer to cut off his prayer from him. When he is unable, he blows in his backside to make him think that he has broken wind. So if he feels any of that, he should not leave until he hears a sound or finds a smell.
