حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصَمُّ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ قَالَ
دَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْمَسْجِدَ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابٌ بِيضٌ نَقَاءٌ حِسَانٌ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى مَكَانٍ فِيهِ سَعَةٌ فَجَلَسَ وَلَمْ يَتَخَطَّ أَحَدًا قَالَ وَخَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ فَإِذَا رَجُلَانِ يَتَكَلَّمَانِ فَأَخَذَ مِنَ الْحَصَا فَرَمَاهُمَا فَنَظَرَا إِلَيْهِ فَسَكَتَا فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ الْإِمَامُ قَالَ «أَلَمْ تَعَلْمَا أَنَّكُمَا فِي صَلَاةٍ»

✧ ʿAbd Allah entered the mosque on Friday wearing clean, beautiful white clothes. He looked at a place where there was space and sat down, not stepping over anyone. He said: The imam came out, and there were two men talking. So he took some pebbles and threw them at them. They looked at him and fell silent. When the imam descended, he said, “Did you not know that you are in prayer?”
