حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ قَالَ
عَبْدُ اللهِ «سَارِعُوا إِلَى الْجُمَعِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَبْرُزُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ فِي كَثِيبٍ مِنْ كَافُورٍ فَيَكُونُوا مِنَ الْقُرْبِ عَلَى قَدْرِ تَسَارُعِهِمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَيُحْدِثُ اللهُ ﷻ لَهُمْ مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَكُونُوا رَأَوْهُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ فَيُحَدِّثُونَهُمْ بِمَا أَحْدَثَ اللهُ لَهُمْ» قَالَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَبْدُ اللهِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَدْ سَبَقَاهُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «رَجُلَانِ وَأَنَا الثَّالِثُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ فِي الثَّالِثِ»

✧ ʿAbd Allah said, “Hasten to the Friday prayers, for Allah ﷻ appears to the people of Paradise every Friday on a hill of camphor, and they will be close to Him according to how quickly they hastened to the Friday prayer. Allah ﷻ will bring about for them something of honor that they had not seen before. Then they will return to their families and narrate to them what Allah has brought about for them.” He said: Then ʿAbd Allah entered the mosque, and there were two men on Friday who had preceded him. So ʿAbd Allah said, “Two men, and I am the third, if Allah wills to bless the third.”
