حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ قَالَ
عَبْدُ اللهِ اعْتَبِرُوا الْمُنَافِقِينَ بِثَلَاثٍ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ وَإِذَا عَاهَدَ غَدَرَ وَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَصْدِيقَ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِهِ {وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ

✧ ʿAbd Allah: “Test the hypocrites by three things: when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks it, and when he makes a covenant he betrays it. And Allah sent down confirmation of that in His Book: {And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah: if He gives us from His bounty} (Q 9:75) to the end of the verse.”
