حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْخَمِيسِ انْتَابَهُ أَهْلُ الرَّسَاتِيقِ وَالْقُرَى فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَعْمَى فَقَالَ
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَا الْأَوَّاهُ؟ قَالَ الرَّحِيمُ قَالَ فَمَا التَّبْذِيرُ؟ قَالَ «مَا أُنْفِقَ فِي غَيْرِ حَقٍّ» قَالَ فَمَا الْمَاعُونُ؟ قَالَ «مَا يَتَعَاوَنُ النَّاسُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَعْنِي الْعَوَارِي»

✧ "O Abu Abdurrahman, what is lamentation?" said Ar-Raheem. He replied, "What is extravagant?" He said, "What is wasteful expenditure." He then asked, "What is aid?" He replied, "What do people cooperate with each other in, meaning the difficulties."
