حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ
أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ أَقْرَضَ أَخْوَالًا لَهُ مِنْ بَنِي سَعْدٍ مَالًا فَلَمَّا خَرَجَتْ أُعْطِيَاتِهِمُ اخْتَارُوا لَهُ مَالَهُمْ فَلَمَّا أُتِي بِهِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ «هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ مَالِنَا الَّذِي أَعْطَيْنَاكُمْ فَاجْمَعُوا أُعْطِيَاتِكُمْ وَأَعْطُونَا مِنْ عَرْضِهَا»

✧ That ʿAbd Allah lent some money to maternal uncles of his from Banu Saʿd. When their stipends were distributed, they chose for him their property, and when it was brought to him, ʿAbd Allah said: “This is better than our money that we gave you, so gather your stipends and give us from its goods.”
