حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ عَوْنٍ قَالَ
كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ» فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيُّ هَذَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ {ارْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللهِ} وَقَالَ عَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا

✧ When ʿAbd Allah left his house he would say, "In the name of Allah, I rely upon Allah. There is no power and no strength except with Allah." Muhammad b. Kaʿb al-Qurazi said: This is in the Quran: {Embark therein: in the name of Allah} and He said: Upon Allah we rely.
