حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

«الْأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا نَارٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالْجَنَّةُ مِنْ وَرَائِهَا يَرَوْنَ كَوَاعِبَهَا وَأَكْوَابَهَا وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لِيَفِيضُ عَرَقًا حَتَّى يَسِيحَ فِي الْأَرْضِ قَامَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَرْتَفِعُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَنْفَهُ وَمَا مَسَّهُ الْحِسَابُ» قَالُوا مِمَّ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ «مِمَّا يَرَى النَّاسَ يَلْقَوْنَ»

✧ “The whole earth will be fire on the Day of Resurrection, and Paradise will be beyond it. They will see its maidens with swelling breasts and its goblets. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of ʿAbd Allāh, a man will sweat so profusely that his sweat will flow over the earth up to his own height, then it will rise until it reaches his nose, while the reckoning has not touched him.” They said, “Why is that?” He said, “Because of what he sees people suffering.”
