حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
وَاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَا مِنْ نَفْسٍ حَيَّةٍ إِلَّا الْمَوْتُ خَيْرٌ لَهَا إِنْ كَانَ بِرًّا إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَقُولُ {وَمَا عِنْدَ اللهِ خَيْرٌ لِلْأَبْرَارِ} وَإِنْ كَانَ فَاجِرًا إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَقُولُ {وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِثْمًا}

✧ By Allah, other than whom there is no god, there is no living soul but that death is better for it: if it is righteous, for Allah ﷻ says, “And what is with Allah is better for the righteous,” and if it is wicked, for Allah ﷻ says, “And let not those who disbelieve think that Our granting them respite is better for themselves; We only grant them respite that they may increase in sin.”
