حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ

سَمِعْتُ الْقُرَّاءَ فَسَمِعْتُهُمْ مُتَقَارِبِينَ فَاقْرَءُوا كَمَا عَلِمْتُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّنَطُّعَ وَالِاخْتِلَافَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ كَقَوْلِ أَحَدِكُمْ هَلُمَّ وَتَعَالَ

Translation

✧ I heard the Quran reciters and I found their recitations close to one another, so recite as you have been taught, and beware of being overly meticulous and of disagreement, for it is only like one of you saying, 'Come here' and 'Come on.'
