حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ ثنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ

وَقَفَ عَلَيَّ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَأَنَا أَقُصُّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَا عَمْرُو لَقَدْ ابْتَدَعْتُمْ بِدْعَةَ ضَلَالَةٍ أَوَ إِنَّكُمْ لَأَهْدَى مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابِهِ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُمْ تَفَرَّقُوا عَنِّي حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ مَكَانِي مَا فِيهِ أَحَدٌ

✧ Abdullah stood by me while I was narrating stories in the mosque and said: O Amr, you have indeed introduced an innovation of misguidance. Are you more guided than Muhammad ﷺ and his companions? I saw them disperse from me until I saw my place with no one in it.
