حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كِسَاءٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَلَّابُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ السَّكَنِ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا عُتْبَةُ أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ السَّنَةَ لَا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَدَّثَ يَوْمًا وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ «نَحْوَ هَذَا أَوْ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا»

✧ Abdullah would go a year without narrating from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then one day he narrated while we were with him and said, 'Like this, or close to this.'
