حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ الْأَيْذَجِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ مُنْقِذِ بْنِ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ جَحْوَانَ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى بْنِ مَوَلَةَ الْعَنَزِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَوْفَى بْنِ مَوَلَةَ قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَقْطَعَنِي الْغَمِيمَ وَشَرَطَ عَلَيَّ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ أَوَّلَ رَيَّانَ وَأَقْطَعَ سَاعِدَةَ رَجُلًا مِنَّا بِئْرًا بِالْفَلَاةِ يُقَالُ لَهَا الْجَعُونِيَّةُ وَهِيَ بِئْرٌ يُخَبَّأُ فِيهَا الْمَاءُ وَلَيْسَ الْمَاءَ الْعَذْبَ وَأَقْطَعَ إِيَاسَ بْنَ قَتَادَةَ الْعَنَزِيَّ الْجَابِيَةَ وَهِيَ دُونَ الْيَمَامَةِ وَكُنَّا أَتَيْنَاهُ جَمِيعًا وَكَتَبَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَّا بِذَلِكَ فِي أَدِيمٍ

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and he granted me al-Ghamīm, stipulating for me and for the wayfarer the first watering. He granted Sā'idah, a man from among us, a well in the desert called al-Ja'ūniyyah—a well in which water is stored, and it is not sweet water. And he granted Iyās b. Qatādah al-'Anazī al-Jābiyah, which is on this side of al-Yamāmah. We had all come to him together, and he wrote for each one of us that grant on leather.
