حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْهَجَرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَحْوَصِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ «§مَنْ سَرَّهُ

أَنْ يَلْقَى اللهَ غَدًا مُسْلِمًا فَلْيُحَافِظْ عَلَى هَذِهِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ حَيْثُ يُنَادَى بِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ شَرَعَ لِنَبِيِّكُمْ سُنَنَ الْهُدَى وَإِنَّهُنَّ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْهُدَى وَلَعَمْرِي لَوْ صَلَّيْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ كَمَا يُصَلِّي هَذَا الْمُتَخَلِّفُ فِي بَيْتِهِ لَتَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ وَلَوْ تَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ ﷺ لَضَلَلْتُمْ وَلَقَدْ أَتَى عَلَيْنَا زَمَانٌ وَمَا يَتَخَلَّفُ عَنْهُنَّ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ مَعْلُومٌ نِفَاقُهُ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ حَتَّى يُقَامَ فِي الصَّفِّ وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَتَطَهَّرُ فَيُحْسِنُ طُهُورَهُ ثُمَّ يَعْمِدُ إِلَى مَسْجِدٍ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ يُصَلِّي فِيهِ فَيَخْطُو خُطْوَةً إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَرَفَعَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً حَتَّى إِنْ كُنَّا لَنُقَارِبُ بَيْنَ الْخُطَا»

✧ Whoever wants to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let him guard these prescribed prayers where the call is given for them, for Allah has prescribed for your Prophet the ways of guidance, and they are among the ways of guidance. By my life, if you were to pray in your homes as this one who stays behind prays in his home, you would abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ, and if you abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ, you would go astray. A time came upon us when none stayed away from them except a hypocrite whose hypocrisy was known. I saw a man being supported between two men until he was stood in the row. No man purifies himself and perfects his purification, then heads to one of the mosques to pray in it, and takes a step except that Allah records for him a good deed by it, raises him a degree by it, and removes from him a sin by it, until we used to take short steps.
