✧ Indeed, the mountain calls out to the mountain by its name: “O so-and-so, did anyone pass by you today who remembered Allah?” When it says yes, it rejoices. ʿAwn said: “They listen to evil and do not listen to good, yet they are better at hearing good.” And he recited: {And they say, “The Most Merciful has taken a son.” You have done an atrocious thing. The heavens almost rupture therefrom, and the earth splits open, and the mountains collapse in devastation that they ascribe to the Most Merciful a son. And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.}
