حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ

إِنَّ امْرَأَتَهُ وَرِمَ ثَدْيُهَا فَجَعَلَ يَمُصُّهُ وَيَمُجُّهُ فَدَخَلَ بَطْنَهُ فَقَالَ «لَا أُرَاهَا تَصْلُحُ لَهُ» فَأَتَى ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «لَمْ تُحَرَّمْ عَلَيْكَ إِنَّمَا يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ مَا أَنَبْتَ اللَّحْمَ وَشَدَّ الْعَظْمَ وَلَا رَضَاعَ بَعْدَ فِطَامٍ» فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي مُوسَى فَقَالَ «لَا تَسْأَلُونَا عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا قَامَ هَذَا الْحَبْرُ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ That his wife's breast became swollen, so he began to suck it and spit it out, and some of it entered his stomach. He said: "I do not think she is suitable for him." So he went to Ibn Masʿud and asked him about that. He said: "She has not become forbidden to you. Only that suckling which grows the flesh and strengthens the bone becomes prohibited, and there is no suckling after weaning." So it was said to Abu Musa, and he said: "Do not ask us about anything as long as this learned man remains among us, one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
