حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ثنا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا} قَالَ فَبَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ «مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ غَضًّا كَمَا أُنْزِلَ فَلْيَقْرَأْهُ عَلَى قِرَاءَةِ ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ»

Translation

✧ He recited to the Prophet ﷺ until he came to this verse, “So how will it be when We bring from every community a witness and bring you as a witness against these?” He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ wept, and he said in the hadith, “Whoever would like to recite the Qurʾan as fresh as it was revealed, let him recite it according to the recitation of Ibn Umm ʿAbd.”
