حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلُّوَيْهِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سِيَابَةَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ جَرِيرٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الرُّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ زَاذَانَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

لَهُ يَا أَخِي إِنَّ لَنَا مَجْلِسًا فَائْتِنَا فَأَقْبَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ فَتَعَلَّمْتُ مِنْهُ سَبْعِينَ سُورَةً فَقَالَ لِي عَبْدُ اللهِ «أَخَذْتُهَا مِنْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَزَلَ بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﷻ»

✧ He said to him: O my brother, we have a gathering, so come to us. I went to him in his gathering and learned from him seventy surahs. ʿAbd Allah said to me, “I took them from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; Jibril ﷺ brought them down from the Lord of the worlds, Exalted is He.”
