حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ قَالَ

كَانَ آخِرُ مَا أَوْصَانِي بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّكَ تَؤُمُّ قَوْمًا وَخَلْفَكَ الْكَبِيرُ وَالضَّعِيفُ وَذُو الْحَاجَةِ فَتَجَوَّزْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

Translation

✧ The last thing the Messenger of God ﷺ instructed me was: 'You will lead a people in prayer, and behind you are the old, the weak, and the needy, so keep the prayer brief.'
