حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ ظَهِيرِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ قَالَ

نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَنَا نَافِعًا دَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ بِمَحَاقِلِكُمْ؟ قُلْتُ نُكْرِيهَا عَلَى الرُّبُعِ وَالثُّمُنِ فَقَالَ «لَا تَفْعَلُوا أَوِ ازْرَعُوهَا أَوْ أَمْسِكُوهَا» قُلْتُ سَمْعًا وَطَاعَةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us something that was beneficial to us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me and said, "What do you do with your cultivated fields?" I said, "We lease them for a quarter and an eighth." He said, "Do not do that. Either cultivate them or keep them." I said, "We hear and obey."
