حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ هَلَكَ عَصَتْ وَأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللهَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ»

✧ Ṭufayl b. ʿAmr al-Dawsī came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, "Daws has perished—they have disobeyed and refused, so pray to God against them." He said, "O God, guide Daws and bring them."
