حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمَرْزُبَانِ أَبِي سَعْدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِيمَ يَخْتَصِمُ الْمَلَأُ الْأَعْلَى؟ قَالَ «فِي الدَّرَجَاتِ وَالْكَفَّارَاتِ» فَأَمَّا الدَّرَجَاتُ فَإِطْعَامُ الطَّعَامِ وَإِفْشَاءُ السَّلَامِ وَالصَّلَاةُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ وَأَمَّا الْكَفَّارَاتُ فَإِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ فِي السَّبَرَاتِ وَثِقَلُ الْأَقْدَامِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَاتِ وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَوَاتِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked: "About what do the highest assembly dispute?" He said: "About degrees and expiations. As for degrees, they are feeding food, spreading peace, and praying at night while people sleep. As for expiations, they are completing ablution in the cold, walking heavily to the Friday prayers, and waiting for prayer after prayer."
