حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْغَلَابِيُّ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ أَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ مَعْبَدَ بْنَ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ ثَعْلَبَةَ يَقُولُ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَإِنْ شَيْءٌ يَسِيرٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ»

✧ That he heard Abu Umamah b. Tha'labah say: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he said: “Whoever seizes the property of a Muslim man by his [false] oath, Allah has made the Fire obligatory for him and forbidden Paradise to him.” A man said, “Even if it is something insignificant, O Messenger of Allah?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Even if it is a stick of arak.”
