حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ ادَّانَ دَيْنًا وَهُوَ يَنْوِي أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَهُ أَدَّى الله عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنِ اسْتَدَانَ دَيْنًا وَهُوَ لَا يَنْوِي أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَهُ فَمَاتَ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي لَا آخُذُ لِعَبْدِي حَقَّهُ فَيُؤْخَذُ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ فَيُجْعَلُ فِي حَسَنَاتِ الْآخَرِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حَسَنَاتٌ أُخِذَ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ الْآخَرِ فَجُعِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Whoever incurs a debt intending to repay it, God will settle it for him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever incurs a debt not intending to repay it and then dies, God ﷻ will say on the Day of Resurrection: 'I thought I would not take the right of My servant.' Then it will be taken from his good deeds and placed among the good deeds of the other. If he has no good deeds, sins will be taken from the other and placed upon him."
