حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْحَذَّاءُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا طَهَّرَهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا طَهُورُ الْعَبْدِ؟ قَالَ «عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ يُلْهِمُهُ إِيَّاهُ حَتَّى يَقْبِضَهُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "When Allah wills good for a servant, He purifies him before his death." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, and what is the purification of the servant?" He said, "A righteous deed that He inspires him to do until He takes him while upon it."
