حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَغْبَطَ النَّاسِ عِنْدِي مُؤْمِنٌ خَفِيفُ الْحَالِ أَوِ الْحَاذِ ذُو حَظٍّ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَأَحْسَنَ عِبَادَةَ رَبِّهِ وَأَطَاعَهُ فِي السِّرِّ وَكَانَ غَامِضًا فِي النَّاسِ لَا يُشَارُ إِلَيْهِ بِالْأَصَابِعِ ذُو كَفَافٍ وَصَبْرٍ عَلَى ذَلِكَ» ثُمَّ نَقَدَ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ «عَجَلَتْ مَنِيَّتُهُ وَقَلَّتْ بَوَاكِيهِ وَقَلَّ تُرَاثُهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The people I most envy are a believer of light circumstances—or clever—with a share of prayer, who worships his Lord well and obeys Him in secret, who is obscure among people, not pointed at with fingers, having just enough and patient over that.” Then he flicked his hand and said, “His death comes quickly, his mourners are few, and his inheritance is little.”
