حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ أَنَسُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْخَلَّالُ ثنا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ
كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرُوا الشَّامَ وَمَنْ فِيهَا مِنَ الرُّومِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكُمْ سَتُغْلَبُونَ عَلَى الشَّامِ وَتُصِيبُوا عَلَى بَحْرِهَا حِصْنًا يُقَالُ لَهُ أَنْفَةٌ يُبْعَثُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفَ شَهِيدٍ»

✧ We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they mentioned al-Sham and the Romans in it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “You will conquer al-Sham and will obtain on its sea a fortress called Anafa, from which twelve thousand martyrs will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.”
