حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ ثنا حَدَّادٌ الْعُذْرِيُّ مَعَ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ هَالَهُ اللَّيْلُ أَنْ يُكَابِدَهُ وَبَخِلَ بِالْمَالِ أَنْ يُنْفِقَهُ وَجَبُنَ عَنِ الْعَدُوِّ أَنْ يُقَاتِلَهُ فَلْيُكْثِرْ أَنْ يَقُولَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فَإِنَّهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ يُنْفَقَانِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ﷻ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever is terrified by the night to endure it, is stingy with wealth to spend it, and is cowardly before the enemy to fight him, let him frequently say: Glory be to Allah and with His praise. For it is more beloved to Allah than a mountain of gold and silver spent in the path of Allah, Exalted and Glorified.
