حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ قَالَا ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الشَّهِيدِيُّ قَالَا ثنا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ لَيْثًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَا بِدُعَاءٍ كَثِيرٍ لَا نَحْفَظُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ يَجْمَعُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ تَقُولُونَ اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا سَأَلَكَ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ وَنَسْتَعِيذُكَ بِمَا اسْتَعَاذَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ أَنْتَ الْمُسْتَعَانُ وَعَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he made many supplications that we did not memorize. Then he said: I will inform you of something that gathers all of that. You say: O Allah, we ask You by what Your Prophet Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger, asked You, and we seek refuge in You from what Your Prophet Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger, sought refuge in You. You are the one whose help is sought, and upon You is the conveyance of the message, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah.
