حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَاحِبُ الْيَمِينِ أَمِينٌ عَلَى صَاحِبِ الشِّمَالِ فَإِذَا عَمِلَ حَسَنَةً أَثْبَتَهَا وَإِذَا عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً قَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبُ الْيَمِينِ امْكُثْ سِتَّ سَاعَاتٍ فَإِنِ اسْتَغْفَرَ لَمْ يَكْتُبْ عَلَيْهِ وَإِلَّا أَثْبَتَ عَلَيْهِ سَيِّئَةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The companion of the right is trustworthy over the companion of the left. When a good deed is done, he records it. When an evil deed is done, the companion of the right says to him: 'Wait six hours.' If he seeks forgiveness, he does not write it against him; otherwise he records one evil deed against him."
