✧ He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us after the dawn prayer and said: "I saw a vision that is true, so understand it. A man came to me, took me by the hand and made me follow him until he brought me to a rugged, tall mountain. He said to me: 'Climb it.' I said: 'I cannot.' He said: 'I will make it easy for you.' So whenever I lifted a foot, I placed it on a step until we stood on the level ground of the mountain. Then we went on, and behold, there were men and women whose cheeks were split open. I said: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are those who say what they do not know.' Then we went on, and behold, there were men and women whose eyes and ears were nailed. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are those who made their eyes see what they did not see and made their ears hear what they did not hear.' Then we went on, and behold, there were women hanging by their heels, their heads lowered, snakes biting their breasts. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are those who prevent their children from their milk.' Then we went on, and behold, there were men and women hanging by their heels, their heads lowered, licking from a little water and mud. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are those who fast and break their fast before the time of their fast ends.' Then we went on, and behold, there were men and women, the ugliest of appearance, the ugliest of clothing, and the most foul of odor, as if their odor were that of latrines. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are the fornicators and adulteresses.' Then we went on, and behold, there were dead people, the most swollen of anything and the most foul of odor. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are the dead of the disbelievers.' Then we went on, and behold, we saw smoke and heard howling. I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'This is Hell, so leave it.' Then we went on, and behold, there were men sleeping under the shade of trees. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'The dead of the Muslims.' Then we went on, and behold, there were boys and girls playing between two rivers. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'The offspring of the believers.' Then we went on, and behold, there were men, the most beautiful of face, the most beautiful of clothing, and the most pleasant of odor, as if their faces were paper. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'These are the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous.' Then we went on, and behold, there were three people drinking wine and singing. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'That is Zayd b. Harithah, Ja'far, and Ibn Rawahah.' I turned toward them, and they said: 'You have attained, you have attained.' Then I raised my head, and behold, there were three people under the Throne. I said: 'What are these?' He said: 'That is your father Ibrahim, Musa, and 'Isa, and they are waiting for you, may Allah bless them all.'"
