حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ ثنا جَمِيعُ بْنُ ثَوْبٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا بَعَثَ أَمِيرًا قَالَ «أَقْصِرِ الْخُطْبَةَ وَأَقِلَّ الْكَلَامَ فَإِنَّ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ سِحْرًا»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ sent out a commander, he would say: "Shorten the sermon and reduce the speech, for some speech is sorcery."
