حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْأَذَنِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِخُفَّيْهِ يَلْبَسْهُمَا فَلَبِسَ أَحَدَهُمَا ثُمَّ جَاءَ غُرَابٌ فَاحْتَمَلَ الْآخَرَ فَرَمَى بِهِ فَخَرَجَتْ مِنْهُ حَيَّةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْهِ حَتَّى يَنْفُضَهُمَا»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ called for his leather socks to put them on. He put on one of them, then a crow came and carried off the other, then dropped it, and a snake came out of it. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Whoever believes in God and the Last Day should not put on his leather socks until he shakes them out."
